James Allen Dickerson, born a rascal on June 10, 1948, and died a rascal on December 9, 2024. Of course, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with JB Dickerson, his dad, being the original rascal! Nothing delighted him more than pulling a good joke on his friends and family and he had a wealth of stories and was a master storyteller. He will always be known for his charm, good looks and comedic wit. He loved his girls, Isabelle and Juliet, more than life itself; all his dogs were his heartbeat. If he had a theme song it would be a medley of Willie Nelson’s “To All the Girls, I’ve Loved Before” and “On the Road Again” and if there is a song title called “Let’s Make a Deal”, it would have to be part of the mix because he was always working a deal with someone, especially his best friend, Roy Harris. He travelled the country doing what he did best, welding and making friends along the way, finally settling in Houston, Texas. Family, friends, and his dogs were very important to him and that was reflected in his collection of hundreds of pictures and stories. Also reflected in those pictures, is his love of his Jeeps, cars and motorcycles. I would be remiss if I failed to mention his love of his President, Donald J. Trump. James was bigger than life and he will be missed by so many, but none more than his girls, Juliet and Isabelle.

Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his father, JB Dickerson; mother, Lois Dickerson; and brothers, Paul Dickerson and Earl Dickerson.

Survivors include his daughters, Juliet and Isabelle; his sister, Joan Dickerson Brantley; nieces, Tamela Brantley Harper and Sherry Lynn Dickerson Acree; nephew, Jeffery Neil Brantley; three great nieces; and one great nephew.
