A Celebration of Life for Mr. James Daniel Cook, Sr., 88, of Monroe, LA, will be 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Private Family Services will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating.
Mr. Cook was born January 4, 1933 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 18, 2021. He was veteran who served in the United States Army. Mr. Cook was a member of the American Legions and AM Vets. He enjoyed singing, making music, fishing, hunting, and hanging out with the “Curr Dogs”.
Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William Cook, Sr. and Winnie Blanche Pope Cook; wife, Doris Ann Menefee Cook; daughter, Kristi Ann Cook; brother, Joseph William Cook Jr., son, Mike Cook; and two grandsons, Ben Brubaker and Tommy Brubaker.
Survivors include his children, Jena Higdon Brubaker and husband Ron, Lesli Cook Holt, Shelley Cook, James D. Cook, Jr., and Dan McGee; daughter-in-law, Sherry Cook; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; niece, Becky Cook; nephew, Joe Cook; as well as many special friends.
