James Allen "Jim" Hutchison

Funeral services for James Allen “Jim” Hutchison, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 8, 2018, at North Monroe Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Hutchison, Dr. Bill Dye, and Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Hutchison was born February 29, 1932 and passed away January 5, 2018. Jim was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. He served as a board member for GB Cooley for many years. He also volunteered computer work for North Monroe Baptist Church, as well as many non-profit organizations.
Mr. Hutchison was preceded in death by his parents: father, Horace Hutchison and mother, Stella Hutchison; sister, Mary Frances McDonald; and 1 grandson, Tyler Whiteside.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lanelle; 3 sons, Bob Hutchison and wife Nancy, Stephen Hutchison and wife Becky, Johnny Hutchison and wife Jan; 2 daughters, Susan Hutchison, and Sheri Whiteside and husband Wayne; 1 sister, Peggy Ables and husband Larry; 8 grandchildren, Julie Bristow and husband Stephen, Joy Oliver and husband Kenny, Jana Liles and husband David, Christi Fox and husband Michael, Caitlyn Hutchison, Drew Hutchison, Sara Oglesbee and husband Jonathan, Ben Hutchison and wife Kate; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Fox, David Liles, Ben Hutchison, Drew Hutchison, Jonathan Oglesbee, Todd Ables, and Marty Ables. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim’s Church Life Group Men.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Daring Faith, North Monroe Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or GB Cooley.
