Funeral services for Jackie Venable, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 23, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Bruce Rux officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Venable was born March 15, 1927 in Leesville, LA, and passed away August 21, 2018, in Monroe, LA. Jackie was a member of Graceminster Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Venable was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Harvey Welch and Ida Elizabeth Blackwell Welch; husband, Richard Lee Venable; brother, Arnet Welch; sister, Freida Welch Miles; and grandson, Roy L. Venable, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Roy L. Venable, Sr. and wife Mitsy, Jan Venable Whidden and husband John; grandchildren, Ann Broadnax Dupre and husband Michael, Sally Ankeny and husband Bobby, Katherine Lee Dupre, Lucia Ankeny, Nicholas Anthony Dupre, and Fletcher Ankeny; and sister Linda Mullins.

Pallbearers will be Mike Mullins, Mike Venable, Tommy Jones, Billy Chappell, Brent Chappell, and Michael Dupre.
