Jackie Gunter

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Jackie Gunter, 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Gunter was born on May 21, 1928, to George and Maude Gunter in Olla, LA and entered in to rest on September 26, 2017 at his residence in West Monroe, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Gunter retired from the News Star World after 37 years and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vergie Mae Hobbs; and brother, Ronald Gunter.

Mr. Gunter leaves behind his loving wife, Becky Sue Gunter; sons, Dennis Gunter(Cathy) of Downsville, LA and Jackie, Jr Gunter (Tina) of Farmerville, LA; grandson, Justin Gunter and wife, Paige of West Monroe, LA; great-grandson, Reagan Lee Gunter; and sister, Carolyn Holtzclaw and husband, Bob of West Monroe, LA.

Visitation will be held from Noon until service time on Friday.
