Funeral services for Jack D. Williamson, 83, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday May 30, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Brother Calton Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.
Jack died at home Monday, May 26, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Jack was born April 21, 1931 in West Monroe. He lived a full long life doing what he loved which was working for the Ouachita Candy Company for 49 years as well as serving 34 years in the Army National Guard in which he retired from as a Command Sergeant Major. He also loved hunting, fishing and making knifes.
He is preceded in death by his parents Doss and Matt Williamson and sister Ora Parks.
He is survived by his wife, Bobby of 48 years, sister, Billie Haynes, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Richard Crockett, daughter and son-in-law Rayne and Gary Lowder, daughter, Kelly Williamson; grandchildren: Scotty Crockett, Leslie Tomlin, Jeremy Crockett, Jackson Lowder, and Garrison Lowder as well as 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Snowden, Kendall Farrar, Justin Snowden, Scotty Crockett, James Bernard Griffin and Jackson Lowder.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday May 29, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
