Funeral services for Ivey Velton Frost, 90, of West Monroe will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 18, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Dr. Jim Wolf officiating. Interment will be in Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Frost was born on August 23, 1931 and passed away on January 14, 2022. Velton was a lifelong member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church and served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Velton was a member of the Army National Guard from 1947 until 1956. He loved his work as an electrician and dedicated his life to serving God and caring for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Ivey F. Frost, infant brother, Leslie Weldon Frost, brother, Raymond M. Frost, sister-in-law, Peggy S. Flowers, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Carolyn Flowers; and sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Gerry Curry.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Flowers Frost; daughters, Kathy Frost Walker and husband Mark R. Walker, Sharon Frost Medina, and husband Dr. Steve Medina; sister, Brenda Frost Murphy and husband Ben; grandchildren, Kristin Pierceall and husband Chris, Brandon Walker, Ashley Kutz and husband Joseph, Sean Walker and wife Allison; great grandchildren, Asher Kutz, Weston and Evan Pierceall; brother-in-law, Donald Flowers; sister-in-law, Lazane Frost; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Walker, Stephen Medina, Brandon Walker, Sean Walker, Joseph Kutz, and Jeff Curry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Flowers, Chris Pierceall, and Joel Jones.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M. Monday January 17, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
