Funeral services for Isaac Louis Luffey, Jr., 56, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2010, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Luffey, owner/operator of ARKLA Recycling, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010. He was in the recycling business for 35 years, and a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. Luffey loved work, old convertibles, and family most of all.
Mr. Luffey was preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Diane Luffey; and his parents, Isaac Louis Luffey, Sr. and Etta Duke Luffey
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Parker Luffey; two daughters, Stephanie Luffey and Tiffany Dupont and husband Allen; three sons, Johnathan “JP” Coon, Duke Luffey, and Caleb Luffey; granddaughter, Caroline Dupont; uncle, George Luffey and wife Jane; aunt, Rose Mary Luffey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Deloach, Webb Phelps, Lee Arthur Collins, Chris Reppond, Buster Gay, Jimmy Langston, James Underwood, and Kim Maxwell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home 7200 DeSiard St. Monroe, LA 71203 or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942
