Isaac "Boodie" Eley

Services for Mr. Isaac “Boodie” Eley, 84 of Chase, LA will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Chase Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 15th at the church. Interment will follow in Chase Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Eley was a farmer, and passed away on May 13, 2017. He was a member of Chase Baptist Church where he served as Senior Deacon. He was an avid deer hunter, loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping, watching Fox News, listening to bluegrass and gospel music, and loved traveling to the mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents-Jesse and Ernestine Segers Eley, and 2 brothers-J. B. Eley Jr., and Leroy Eley.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Aline Albritton Eley; son-David Eley and Danielle of Gilbert; daughter-Carol Dee Linder and Bryan of Gilbert; 9 Grandchildren-Jared Eley and Wina, Dana Patten and Timothy, Kaitlyn Armstrong and Holden, Leighton Linder, Adam Eley, Surena, Meleia, Chayton, and Ryser Eley; 5 Great Grandchildren-Jackson, Hayes, Harper, Hadley, and Isaac; 3 Sisters-Jessie Howard, Lillian Ezell, and Mae McLemore; and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers are his nephews: Billy and Jeffrey Eley, Ricky, Kirby, Dale, and Rex McLemore, Gene Broadway, Scott Fenn, and Patrick Grieme.

Honorary Pallbearers are Travis Halbrook, Devon Goodman, Billy Barton, Gary Beasley, Johnny Denmon, Joey Ferrington, and Chase Baptist Church Deacons.
