Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Priou Coyle, 83, of Richmond, VA will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 1, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paschal’s Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Coyle was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Iris worked for United Gas Pipeline for 17 years as an Administrative Assistant to two vice presidents. She also enjoyed being a member of the Desk and Derrick Association in Houston. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, persistence, and her constant positive attitude.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Coyle, Sr.; sisters, Olive “Ollie” Kendrick, Mildred “Mimi” Roy, and Ruth “Sis” Coates; and brothers, Adam “Son” Priou and Lucian “Tut” Henry Priou, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Coyle and husband John; son, James H. Coyle, Jr. and wife Mary Louise; grandchildren, Jennifer Howerton and husband Michael, and Christopher Coyle; great grandchildren, John Michael Howerton, and Matthew Howerton; nieces, Linda Wilson and husband Peyton and Lynn Shows and husband Lonnie; nephew, Gary Roy and wife Shirley; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Roy, Peyton Wilson, Lonnie Shows, Greg Richards, Troy Shows, and Brad Shows.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
