Irene Mary Leon

A funeral mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Irene Mary Leon, 86, of Monroe, LA at 10:00 AM Thursday April 28, 2022, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Raney Johnson officiating. Interment will be in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leon passed away on April 24, 2022, at her residence into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family.
Irene was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was especially devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, including St. Anthony and St. Martin de Porres.
Mrs. Leon was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Mary Pepitone; husband, Philip V. Leon, Sr.; sister, Virginia Miletello; and brother, Leonard Russo.
She is lovingly remembered by children, Philip Victor Leon and wife, Beth and Ramona Ann Watkins and husband, Thomas; sister, Sally Ann Peptone; grandson, Damian Leon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Edward Curry, Ling John Nguyen, Leonard Miletello, Dr. Mitchell Miletello, Blake Wheelis, and Damian Leon.
