Irene Frances Case

Funeral Services Celebrating the life of Mrs. Irene Frances Monroe Case, 98, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 30, 2020 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Morgan McCallister officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Case was born on December 19, 1921 in Grayson, LA to the parents of H.C. “Buster” and Melissa “Lizzie” Volentine Monroe, and passed away on November 24, 2020 at her residence in West Monroe, LA. After finishing High School, Irene went on to St. Francis School of Nursing in Monroe, LA and became a Registered Nurse. She worked many years in private duty nursing and later as a nurse on the OB/GYN floor at St. Francis Hospital.

She was a devoted longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and also sang in the choir for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 ½ years, Paul W. Case.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Ferguson and husband, Rodney, and Paula McCoin and husband, Steve; 9 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Casey DeLancey, Ryan DeLancey, Jansen Ferguson, Stewart Ferguson, Robie Bass, and Tadd Bass.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday.
