Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Irene B. Shannon, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 22, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Pastor Jason Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Shannon was born on December 6, 1937 in Crowville, LA and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James A. Shannon; daughter, Donna Shannon; mother, Mildred McQuillin; and Penny’s daughter, Courtney Smead.

Survivors include her children, Billy Shannon and Penny, Mike Shannon and Simona, Steve Shannon and Denise and Toby Shannon and Brandy; grandchildren, Tonya Shows and Jon, Michael Shannon and April, Crystal Cunningham and John, Stephanie Shannon, Kristen Rowton and Codie, Katelynn Shannon, and Kaleb Shannon; great grandchildren, Haven, Taya, Cam, Hallie, Cullen, Avery Claire, Bronson, Bailey, Marissa, Amariah and Samuel; brother, Milton McQuillin and Frankie; sisters, Gloria Brazell, Judy Johnson and James, and Virginia Finley and Buster; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and other family.

Pallbearers will be Jon Shows, John Cunningham, Codie Rowton, Michael Shannon, Prentice Johnson, Tony Johnson, and Mark McQuillin.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
