Funeral services for Mrs. Inger Johanne Margarette Guimbellot, 86, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, of West Monroe, Louisiana, with Rev. Dennis Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at New Winnsboro Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 5, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Inger Johanne Margarette Guimbellot, a beloved member of the community, passed away on January 2, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was born on August 10, 1937, in Oslo, Norway.

Inger led a remarkable life filled with love, strength, and unwavering determination. She was not only a dedicated mother, but also an extraordinary woman who left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her daughter, Lorrie Ann meant the world to her, and their bond was something truly special that will forever be cherished.

As a member of Bethel Baptist Church in West Monroe, Inger found solace and joy in her faith. The church's children held a special place in her heart. Inger possessed the rare gift of being an exceptional listener; she effortlessly empathized with others and provided guidance and encouragement when needed. Her words were filled with wisdom and offered with genuine care. Known for her directness, she never hesitated to express her opinion, but always did so with love and compassion before concluding it with a warm smile. Inger's prayers were powerful; she was a remarkable prayer warrior who believed wholeheartedly in the strength of spirituality.

Inger dedicated several years of her life to the service industry before retiring. During her career, she impacted countless lives through acts of kindness and selflessness. Her unwavering commitment to serving others left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.

Inger is preceded in death by her parents, Hardis and Birger Borg, her brother, Sven Erik, and her daughter, Nina Korena.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Lorrie Ann Guimbellot.

The pallbearers will be Joey Oliver, Dalton Oliver, Jerry Lockwood, Jerry Walker, Robert Lindsay, and Duane Gardner.

Inger Johanne Margarette Guimbellot will forever remain in our hearts and memories as a loving mother, a devoted friend, and a beacon of strength and inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy will continue to guide us in the days ahead as we strive to live our lives with the same grace and compassion that she exemplified.

The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone at St. Francis Medical Center, especially the MICU.
