Funeral services for Immay “May” Feduccia Frantom, 92, of West Monroe, LA, will be held Noon Saturday in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, with Rev. Sam Emmanuel And Rev. Andy Hitchcock officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Calhoun. Mrs. Frantom died on July 26, 2007.
A native of Point Coupee Parish, May Frantom was born September 1, 1914 in the old settlement of Torras, LA, on the Mississippi River. She was born the fourth of eight children of John Vincent and Mary Feduccia. After graduating Innis High School, May moved to Monroe in 1937 to enroll in business school. In 1938, she married her husband of 57 years, John Robert Frantom, Jr., of West Monroe, who passed away in 1995. A retired secretary, notary public and automobile title clerk, May began her long career at McCain-Richards Ford in Monroe. Throughout her many years in automobile dealerships, she was respected for her dedication, work ethic, and public relations skills. She was a member of Claiborne United Methodist Church in West Monroe.
May felt truly blessed with family, friends, and longevity. Ever fond of reminiscence, she possessed a passion for life that was especially evident in her colorful stories about growing up in rural Pointe Coupee parish along the banks of her beloved Mississippi River.
May is survived by two daughters, Laura Louise Hardin of West Monroe and Marilynn Jefferson and husband Wynn of Louisville, KY; a son, Jay Frantom of West Monroe; a brother, J. C. Feduccia of Simmesport, LA; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ottis Frantom, Gerald Brown, Barry Fontaine, Kirk Cannon, Lamar Rogers and Sonny Richards.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 11:00 A.M. until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
