Ida Graham Wood

Funeral services for Ida Graham Wood, 94 years young, of Monroe, LA, will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Memorial Baptist Church, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Roger Stoffer officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Wood was born in Crowville, LA, on May 14, 1922, and went home to be with Jesus on September 3, 2016 at 7:50 PM at her residence in Monroe. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, mawmaw, great mawmaw, and great-great mawmaw. She loved to garden and she loved everyone.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Wood; grandson, Keith M. Robertson; her mother and father; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Survivors include, 7 children, Barbara Wood Patton, Betty Wood Robertson, Jerry Wood, Billy Wood, Sharon Wood Robertson, Sherman Wood, Johnny Nichols; 1 sister, Joyce Hicks; 2 brothers, Cecil and Leo Graham; 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 35 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eric Teston, Bud Teston, Matthew Conerly, David Spruell, Jr., David Wood, Frank Wood, Dewey Wood, and Charles Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton McMurry, Freddie Oliveaux, and Bro. Roger Stoffer.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, prior to the service at Memorial Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church building fund.
