Howard Earl Reese, Jr.

Funeral services for Howard Earl Reese, Jr., 70, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Reese was born August 22, 1950, in Louisville, MS, and passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Reese was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church, and was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He was also a Sunday school teacher and served as an AWANA leader for years.

Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Nathan Reese; granddaughter, Savannah Jordan Reese; brother, David Ervin Reese; father, Howard Earl Reeses, Sr.; stepmother, Tonie Reese; stepfather, Wallace Ford, Jr.; and stepbrother, Ronnie Ford.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Reese; son, Trey Reese; daughter-in-law, Jessica Reese; grandchildren, Cooper Reese; Logan Reese; sister, Earline Mumau and husband, Bob; mother, Mattie Lorena Ford; stepbrothers, Wayne Ford and wife, Sybil; Delfin Lovato and wife, Cherie; Ricky Smith and wife, Kayla; Billy Smith and wife, Misty; sister-in-law, Eva Reese; stepsister, Trudy Armfield and husband, Robin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Nolan, Charles Perry, Roy Daniels, Kevin Eason, David Beasley, Gaylon Perry, Marshall Daniels and J.C. Roberson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen Eason, Mike Kerrigan, Roy Price, Sig Gorman, and Glenn McAdams.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Foodbank of Northeast Louisiana or any charity of your choice.
