Funeral services for Hollis Jewell Wood Arnold, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Swartz First Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at Legion Memorial Cemetery, in Newellton, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Arnold was born on November 16, 1930, in Nemo, TX, and passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at St Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. She lived for her family and loved her church.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Stanley Wood and Stella Jewell Barclay Wood; husband, Roy Arnold; and brothers and sisters, Glennis Bruce, Lorene Ray, Reta Slate, Joyce Armstrong, June May, Charles Wood, and John Wood.
Survivors include; three children, Kevin Arnold, Danna Arant and husband Glen, and Ross Arnold and wife Diana; eleven grandchildren, Edward Arnold, Coby Arnold, Raymond Arnold, Christopher Arant, Tyler Arant, Brant Arnold, Braley Arnold, Bryson Arnold, Brooke Arnold, Darbi Biggs, and Donovan Haley; ten great grandchildren; brother, Ben Wood and wife Astrid; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Nursing Staff on the Cardiac floor of St. Francis Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at Swartz First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Swartz First Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Missions Fund.
