Funeral Mass for Mrs. Hilda Clara Ray, 87, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 28, 2021, at St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, with Fr. Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Columbia, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Monday at St. Paschal Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hilda was born June 12, 1934 and passed away June 24, 2021, at her daughter, Laurie’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and loved being outdoors and in her garden was where she loved to be the most. To know her, was to love her and anyone that knew her, knew how much she loved her family and being a mother and grandmother were her greatest accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Gunter; son-in-law, Carroll Gunter, III; and granddaughter, Christine Gunter.
Survivors include her husband, Jack O. Ray; children, Karen Felder and husband David, Lynne Tolar, David Ray and wife Joyce, Laurie Hendrix and husband Roland, Kevin Ray and wife Terri, and Michelle Sweet; grandchildren, Carroll Gunter, IV and wife Summer, Russell Gunter and wife Yuri, Jeannie Hildebrand and husband Chris, Michael Felder, Heather Felder, Eric Felder and wife Lauren, Jason Tolar and wife Nikki, Brandon Tolar, Hollie Travis and husband Aubrey, Brian Singson, Lindsay Tyson and husband Ryan, Jessica Mills and husband Jesse, Justin Hendrix and Megan, LeAnne Bounds and husband Zac, Danielle Williams, Madison Ray, Trevor Sweet and Kaitlyn Sweet; 34 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sisters, Dolores Pancrazi and Yvonne Donnelly.
Mrs. Hilda’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Laurie Hendrix, Lindsay Tyson, Ashley Walker, Karen Felder and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for taking such great care of our Mom.
