Herbert Edward "Herbie" Munholland, Jr.

Funeral Services Celebrating the life of Mr. Herbert Edward “Herbie” Munholland, Jr., 77, of Monroe, LA, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Munholland was born June 15, 1947, and passed away on February 16, 2025, at home surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Munholland owned and operated Circle M Trucking for 35 years. Recently he worked for Bear’s Towing and Recovery. He loved racing, fishing, and being on the water in Hebert, LA. Mr. Munholland was a hard worker, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never once raised his voice and was very patient with his grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Munholland fostered many children who needed help. He was a deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Fannie Faulk Munholland.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Susan “Suzie” Dunn Munholland; two sons, Herbert Munholland, III and wife Amie and Jeffery Munholland and wife Misty; two daughters, Mary Ellen Watson and Angie Boggs and husband David; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall Munholland and wife Diane; sister-in-law, Jo Sheppard of Terry, MS; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

Pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law: Carl Paulman, Randy Harrison, Trent Jinks, Hunter Wilson, Michael Slack, and Jonathan Barbara. Honorary Pallbearers will be lifelong friends: Gil Bragg, Tommy Price, Glen Dumas, Ralph Eberts, Keith Semmes, and members of Emmanuel Baptist Church: Jimmy Vallery, Roe Morris, and Preston Allen.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Louisiana Hospice for their special care given to him and for all who gave prayers and love to Herbie.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 21, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
