Herbert HubbardMulhearn Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA Funeral Services for Herbert Hubbard, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 1, 2015 in the Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church, West Monroe with Dr. Woods Watson and Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Hubbard was born July 8, 1936 and passed away December 29, 2014. He was retired from Monsanto, Willamette Industries and Voith. After retirement he volunteered at Glenwood Hospital, St. Joseph’s Nursing Home and First Baptist Thrift Store. Mr. Hubbard was a member and lifetime deacon of First Baptist Church in West Monroe and was passionate about his Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a great friend to many. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie Hubbard; parents, Leonard Hubbard and Eustace Thomas; brothers, Thomas and James Hubbard; and sister, Patty Terry.Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Patricia Hubbard; children, Kim Bontekoe, Laurie Anstead, Barry Hubbard, Larry Hubbard and wife Neva, Karen Birmingham and husband Steve, Sharon Galyean and husband Tommy, and Thomas Boesman, III; grandchildren, Jonathan Barbo and wife Ashley, Taylor Anstead, Sarah Hubbard, Rachel Hubbard, Jennifer Stephens and husband Wade, Joshua Champion, Jed Champion, and Kara Devinney and husband Rob; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nettie Joseph and husband Bob; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.Pallbearers will be Tommy Galyean, Jonathan Barbo, Wayne Prewitt, Ron Vining, Larry Hubbard and Barry Hubbard.Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Norris and Jerry Goodman.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
