Henry L Suggs

Funeral services for Henry Lee Suggs, 101, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Lance Otwell officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time for service in the Mausoleum Chapel.

Henry was born February 4, 1918, to the union of Henry Houston and Lillie Bell Suggs. He passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019.

Henry was a retired public works person for Texas Gas Transmission. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Corrie Mae Suggs; parents, Henry Houston and Lillie Belle Suggs; two sisters; three brothers; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include son, Charles Suggs; daughter, Charlene Suggs Sample; three grandchildren, Renee Sample, Tina Otwell and husband, Rev. Lance Otwell, and Trent Sample and wife Laura; seven great-grandchildren; and two, great-great-grandchildren.
