Graveside Services for Mrs. Helen McTurner, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2020, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Larry Linson officiating.

Helen McTurner passed away July 28, 2020. She was born September 20, 1935, in Wyrtland, Kentucky, and later moved to Louisiana, where she lived the majority of her adult life.

Mrs. McTurner was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Her faith and family were the cornerstone of her life. She lived a life of service. She volunteered at E.A. Conway in the gift shop, led Sunday School at Highland Park Baptist Church and ran the restaurant at Dealer’s Auto Auction. We can take comfort in knowing she is at peace. Her memory will live on through her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond McTurner; daughter, Susan Gail McTurner; granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Blunschi; and sister, Betty Radcliffe.

Survivors include her son, Mike McTurner and wife Donna; daughter, Kelly Bailey and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Matt McTurner and wife Ashley, Josh Bailey, Whitney Ezell and husband Daniel, and Josh Blackwelder and wife Nikki; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Casey and husband Ray; brother, Ben Morris and wife Diana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matt McTurner, Josh Bailey, Josh Blackwelder, John Bennett Blunschi, John Christian Bailey and Daniel Ezell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Highland Park Baptist Church in Monroe.
