Helen was born July 12, 1991 in New Orleans, LA, to Paul and Susan Aucoin and passed away April 30, 2024, in West Monroe, LA.
Helen was truly full of life. She was someone you could rely on to encourage you and make you smile, as she was quite hilarious. Helen has always been a natural nurturer and continued that into her adult life, becoming a nurse. She was the type of person to stop what she was doing just to be there for you, and in that moment, she would make you feel like nothing else in the world mattered other than you. All Helen wanted was to make everyone proud, and she succeeded in that. To know her was to love her and to be loved by her was an extraordinary honor. Her family and friends meant the world to her. Helen had a passion for music and a love for all animals, especially her own four-legged family members, Rudy, Tie, Bella, Leroy the cat, and Odie whom she cared for enormously. She had an adoration for all things water, and swimming brought her immense joy. Her best friends were Christian Gullette and Natalie McManus. She loved them like no one else had before. She was blessed to have Natalie and Natalie’s family in her life, sharing memories, passions, and beautiful laughter. Helen was precisely the definition of a best friend, spending countless days and years being there for each of them in every possible manner. They impacted each other’s lives in the best way during the years they had with each other. She was honestly a nurturing, loving, and loyal friend. Helen was also a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, with Haley capturing a very special place in her heart. Additionally, she was an aunt figure and totally smitten with Zadee, Cash, Cross, and Christabella. Frankly, she was a strong, fierce, and fearless woman who will be missed dearly by those who loved her deeply.
Helen is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Adam and Esther Mabile; and her paternal grandparents, Philip and Helen Aucoin.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Paul & Susan Aucoin; her brother, Jake and his wife, Amy and their children, Haley, Joey, and Johnny; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and her beloved “The Uncles”; and many friends, including her best friend, Christian Gullette.
