Hazel Boies Garlington

Funeral services for Hazel Boies Garlington, 98, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Charles Duprey officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Garlington was born November 19, 1919, in Mangham, LA, and passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at her residence. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, WMU, Pilot Club of Monroe, and the Council on Aging.

Mrs. Garlington was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell Lewellyn and Mildred Lee McCormick Boies; husband, Marshall D. Garlington; and sisters, Sybil B. Watson and Adra B. Forrester.

Survivors include her children, Marshall E. Garlington of Macon, GA, Judy G. Brooks of West Monroe, Jerry L. Garlington and wife Liz of Wake Forest, NC, and Robert E. Garlington and wife Lori of Monroe; grandchildren, Billy Garlington, Susan Atwater, Lauren Brooks, Jay Garlington, Brian Garlington, Heather Garlington, and Haley Antle; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Mike Kilcoyne, Glenn Orr, Billy Garlington, Layton Garlington, Brian Garlington, and Jay Garlington.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
