Funeral Services for Mr. Harvey A. Salsbury, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Family Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Terry Taylor and Darryl Akoni officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Salsbury was born on January 22, 1919 in Jackson Parish, LA and passed away on February 22, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. He had many hobbies that included electrical work, cooking, carpentry work, being outdoors, especially fishing, and being with family and friends. Mr. Salsbury loved his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Allen Salsbury.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Salsbury; children, Gary Salsbury and wife Marie, Dejauna Byrd, Mary V. Powell and Danny Howell; grandchildren, Natalie Miletello and husband Jarrod, Mickey Freeman and husband Harold, Jared and Justin Salsbury, Daniel, Crystal and Colby Howell, Jason Powell, Sharon Allen and Derrick Powell; great grandchildren, Adam and Gentry Freeman, and Mariah and Jonah Salsbury; daughter-in-law, Linda Salsbury; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Darryl Akoni.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24. 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
