A Celebration of Life for Mr. Harry Boyd, 88, of West Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park.
Mr. Boyd was born June 25, 1936, and passed away on March 17, 2025. He retired after 35 years as Executive Vice President of Troy and Nichols Mortgage Company. After retirement, he earned his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. He worked with Ouachita Pastoral Counseling and First West Counseling. Mr. Boyd enjoyed golf, was a voracious reader, and a student of theology.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Boyd and Irma McGee Boyd; wife, Bonnie Jean Jackson Boyd; and two step-daughters, Judy Green and Lynn York.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Boyd, Jr and wife Tami, Keith Boyd and wife Kim, and Ben Boyd and wife Dana; seven grandchildren, Mel Edwards and wife Stephanie, Amy Edwards, Sara Bursavich and husband Andy, Benjamin Boyd and wife Emily, Johnathan Boyd and wife Carisa, Bethany Park and husband Austin, and Audra Frost and husband Gabriel; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Jimmy Boyd; sister, Jesse Mae Frazier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends; and his sweet dog, “Sadie”.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the 6th and 7th floor at St. Francis Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
