Harry Clifford Bauer, Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Harry Clifford Bauer, Jr., 82, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Bonnett officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Mr. Bauer was born on April 3, 1942, in Dover, Delaware and passed away on June 10, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Harry attended Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware, and was a graduate of the Class of 1960. After that he went on to serve in the United States Navy. He spent many years working for the News Star before retiring. Mr. Bauer was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to take pictures of his grandsons and to feed all the birds. He was also an avid baseball fan and loved cheering on the Phillies.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Clifford Bauer, Sr.; and mother, Mabel Moran Bauer.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Martha Bauer; son, Greg Bauer and his wife, Denyse; grandchildren, William Bauer, Jack Bauer, and Sam Bauer; sisters, Karen Bauer and Jane Shumaker; and bonus kids, Susie Wilson, Jessie Smith, and Joey Buck.

The pallbearers will be Greg Bauer, William Bauer, Jack Bauer, Joey Buck, William Bell, and Chris Florey.
