Funeral services for Harriet Kincaid Stapp will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, LA, with Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating and John Sartin, assisting. Interment will follow at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mrs. Stapp died at her home on Sunday, March 22, following a courageous, twenty-one year longbattle with breast cancer. She was born February 8, 1941, in Winnsboro, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Madge and Carey Kincaid. Mrs. Stapp is survived by her husband, John Stapp; two sons, Doug Etheridge of ElDorado, AR, and David Stapp and wife Danielle of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Scottie Stapp; and one sister,Virginia Eddleman of Monroe. She received Bachelor and Master’s degrees and Master’s +30 from ULM and taught for overforty years in Franklin Parish Schools. She was certified in elementary and junior high grades, music education, and administration and supervision. Her choirs and vocalists consistentlyreceived Superior ratings at State Festivals. Mrs. Stapp was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro and served as Choir Director for over thirty-five years. She was an excellent pianist and also enjoyed bridge and tennis. Pallbearers will be Johnny Boothe, Dr. Lane Eddleman, Dr. Randy Taylor, Dale Etheridge, Roy Stapp and Paul Stapp. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24th at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro.
