A private family service for Harold Glynn Young, 80, of Monroe, LA will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Rawls Cemetery in Crossett, AR.
Harold was born November 29, 1940, in Lake Village AR and passed away January 17, 2021 in Shreveport, LA due to complications of surgery. He was a long time employee of Georgia- Pacific in Crossett, AR and later retired Weyerhaeuser in Columbus, MS. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but later in life he enjoyed being outside sitting by the fire with his brothers and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Christian Young.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Young; daughter, Terri Hairston (Jeff); son, Mark Young (Stephanie); grandchildren, Haley Hairston (Darren), Clint Hairston (Lara), Pierce Young (Camille), Ginger Johnson (Ryan); and three great grandchildren, Henry, Brennan and Lana; two brothers, Mike Young (Edra), David Young (Charlene); cousin Hubert Riley (Nancy) who was just like a brother.
In lieu of flowers family request that all donations be made to St. Jude.
