Services for Harmon Joe Hatten of West Monroe will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Mulhearn Chapel with Rev. Greg Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in Archibald under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.
Joe was a collector of many things and enjoyed being outdoors working on his farm and fixing things on his long list of projects. He served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. Joe enjoyed dancing at the VFW, attending Sunday School, and playing the guitar. He was a proud member of the Boeuf River Band of the Cherokee Nation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe William and Ethelyne Taylor Hatten; former wife, Diane Welch Hatten; and brother, Alvin Hatten.
He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Earline Whitehead Hatten of West Monroe; daughter, Vana Carnes and husband John of Alexandria; son, Bennie Hatten and wife Marilyn of Georgetown, LA; five grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; four sisters, Oneda Mullen, Betty Yruegas and husband Britt Britton, Mildred Albritten, and Kathy Thomas; two brothers, Bennie Hatten and Edmond Hatten; and numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Carnes, Jr., John Carnes III, Jason Carnes, Jay Schultz, Greg Green, and Brett Green.
Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville.
