Hal Andrew Wales Jr.

Hal A Wales Jr was born May 22, 1940 in Monroe, LA and went to his heavenly home on August 10, 2018.
He began his career as a farmer in 1961 and remained in the agriculture field as a farmer and salesman until his retirement in 2010.
He loved cooking for his family and friends, especially frying fish, boiling crawfish and baking chocolate pies. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing (when the grandkids made him) and West Monroe football. He was a deacon, a youth pastor, and also served as a Sunday school teacher. In his retirement years he and his wife, Juanita traveled in their RV with friends and also served in small churches in the mission field.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hal A and Lula Ethel Wales of West Monroe and in- laws Buster and Mamie Harper of Cheneyville.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Harper Wales, Daughter Lisa Jones (Roy), Newnan GA, Son Hal Andrew Wales (Andy) III, (Paula), and Daughter Vivian Willis (Chris) of West Monroe, Sisters: Bonnie Wales Manning and Gloria Jean (“Doodie”) Daniel, both of West Monroe. His grandchildren Hal A Wales (Drew)IV, ( Rachel), Zachary Jones, Sidney Aulds, Hannah Wales, Megan Brown ( Ryan), Rebekah Wales, Mitch and Nathan Smith, Kristi and Sabrin Willis. He also had three great grandchildren, Harper, Hallie and Hollyn Wales.
Pall Bearers will be Dwayne Clement, Nelson Daniel, Darren Fuller, Wesley Graff, Charles Hutzler and Stanley Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Fulmer, Oscar Head, Jack Oglesbee and Bill Mathus.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday August 13, 2018 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Black and Dr. Les Colvin officiating. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. Sunday August 12, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church mission’s fund.
