Guy Norvil Seward

Funeral services for Guy Norvil Seward, 83, of Sterlington, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 8, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Scott Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Monday.

Mr. Seward was born April 5, 1940, in Ringgold, LA, and passed away peacefully Monday, May 1, 2023, in his home on the banks of the Ouachita River.

He enjoyed life to the end whether visiting friends, driving down the road for a biscuit, or to visit his beloved daughter and son-in-law at the camp in Concordia Parish. Guy was a proud Marine who enlisted at the tender age of 16. After his Honorable Discharge he became a master machinist working at various industrial facilities throughout the country. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and all things outdoors but most importantly cherished his daily phone calls with his beloved daughter “Nan”.

Mr. Seward was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Avie Olivia Seward; brother, Joe Seward; and sister, Bobbie Holley.

Survivors include daughter, Nancy Seward Adcock and husband Herschel “Bo” Adcock; sister, Loretta McPherson; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Seward, Jordan Seward, Joe Cascio, Mark Franks, and Sammy White.

The Honorary Pallbearer will be John E. White.
