Services for Mrs. Gladys Jena Cordell, 78 of Rayville, LA will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rayville with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, LA.Mrs. Cordell was a retired chief clerk with the U.S.D.A. and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rayville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elias William Salsbury and sisters, Sadie Evans, Patricia Brown, and infant sister, Laverne Salsbury.Survivors include:Husband of 46 years: Jimmy A. Cordell of Rayville, LA.Son: Stephen Cordell and wife Stacey of West Monroe, LA.2 Sisters: Helen Hunter of Kentwood, LA.Ouida McCarty of Rayville, LA.4 Grandchildren: Katelyn Cordell, Madelyn Cordell, Cailey Phillips, and Addison Phillips.Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville.
