Gladys Jeanette Pitman

Services for Mrs. Gladys Jeanette Pitman, 85 of Winnsboro, will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro Bro. Jimmy Harper and Bro. David Shirley officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Cedar Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Pitman loved church, singing, Bible Studies, gardening and the outdoors. She also enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family and cooked, and loved her Lord. She was loving and dedicated to her husband and family. She is preceded in death by her birth parents, Willie and Leona McGraw, and her adoptive parents, Charlie and Alma McVay.

Survivors include: Husband of 66 years, Willie Pitman, daughters Glenda Girod and husband, Gary of Winnsboro, and Ginger Netherland and husband Johnny of Farmerville, 2 sons, Johnny Pitman and wife Betty of West Monroe, and Ronald Pitman and wife Ann of West Monroe, step-brother, Tommy Hopkins and wife Betty, grandchildren: Corey Girod, Sharon Beckman, Johnny Pitman Jr., Rebecca Kilpatrick, Jennifer Netherland, Karen and Dylan Pitman, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Nicholas Dupree, Taylor Hertzler, Jon Patrick Pitman, Kolby Girod, Johnny Pitman, Jr., Corey Girod, and Trevor Lala.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Danny Posey, Howard Wade, Artis Free, and Deacons of Temple Baptist Church.
