Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys Delaner Walker, 99, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery Rayville, LA.Mrs. Walker was born on April 4, 1916 and passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the St. Joseph nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, S. D. Walker, and her sons, Charles D. Walker and Larry Doak Walker. Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who made her family the priority of her life. She was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church.Survivors include her four sons and one daughter, Bobby D. Walker of Monroe, LA, John D. Walker of Denham Springs, LA, Hershel Walker of Youngsville, LA, Carey D. Walker of Monroe, LA, and Cherrie D. Walker of North Little Rock, AR; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.Mrs. Walker’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road Monroe, LA.Memorials may be made to the St. Mark’s Methodist Church 513 Lincoln Road Monroe.
