Funeral service for Mrs. Gilda D. Willard, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Lea Joyner United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben McGehee and Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mrs. Willard passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018, in Monroe. She was a devoted member of Lea Joyner United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the Newcomer Sunday School Class. Mrs. Willard loved to travel, but her passion was taking care of her husband, family, and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Johnny Willard; children, Linda Kay Willard; Don Willard and wife Frances; and Susan Barrington and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Keith Willard and his daughter Allison Willard; Tonya Miller and her son, Aaron Miller; Jonathan Willard and wife Emily and their son, John Cooper Willard; and Bradley Barrington and wife Brittany and their daughter, Amelia Barrington.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Lea Joyner United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Keith Willard, Jonathan Willard, Brad Barrington, Kenneth Barrington, Darryl Reed and Ricky McMullen.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lea Joyner UMC Evangelism or to Faith Baptist Youth Ministry in Bastrop, LA.
