Funeral services for Geraldine Walters Craig, 73, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Monroe, LA with Rev. William Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA.Mrs. Craig passed on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center Downtown. She was a 1960 graduate of Crowville High School. She graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College with a Bachelors in business education in 1964. She was a longtime member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Monroe where she was a member of the choir. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She also loved music, and loved to read.Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, MacKenzie William Craig, Jr; her parents, Daniel Luther and Anna Frances Walters.Survivors include her son, MacKenzie William Craig, III, and wife Teresa; her daughter, Ann Stockton, and husband Terry; two granddaughters, Macy Stockton, and Jessica Stockton; three brothers, Daniel Walters, and wife Carla, Larry Walters, and wife Tammy, David Walters, and wife Debbie; two sisters, Frances Painter, and husband Joe, Rita Swogger, and husband Malcolm; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family; and her best friend Karen Gray.Pallbearers will be Jim Farmer, Tyler Brubaker, Toney Lively, Tom Atkins, Steve Hopper, and Nat Barnett.Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Cherry Ridge Skilled Nursing for their care.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.comMulhearn Funeral HomeSterlington RoadMonroe, LA
