George Neil Grigsby

Memorial services for Mr. George Grigsby, 77, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Mr. Grigsby was born August 29, 1944, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Mr. Grigsby was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and was a generous person who was always helping others in need. He retired after 38 years from Hormel. Mr. Grigsby was a born salesman: buying and selling were some of his favorite things. Mr. Grigsby was also an adventurous person. He had boats, motorhomes, motorcycles, and houseboats. Mr. Grigsby also loved to fly, owned many airplanes, and got his private pilot’s license in 1973.

Mr. Grigsby was preceded in death by his parents, Mickey and Reba Cochran; sisters-in-law, Gay Stuart and Pat Grigsby; brothers-in-law, George R. Stuart, Charles Stuart and James Stuart.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Helen Grigsby; daughter, Christy Jones (Craig); granddaughter, Lindy Jones; sisters, Judi Stuart, Jemmie Thomas (Dave); brothers, Jack Grigsby (Jeanette), and Tommy Grigsby; and brother-in-law, Bro. R.G. Stuart (Treesa).
