Funeral Services for Gene T. McCarty, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM Monday, April 11, 2016 at St. Paschal’s Catholic Church with Father Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paschal’s Catholic Church Cemetery, West Monroe.Mr. Gene was born on August 22, 1928 in Fort Necessity, LA and passed away on April 8, 2016 in Monroe, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary McCarty; son, Kenneth McCarty; grandson, Jimmy Dale; and son-in-law, Raymond Lowery.He is survived by his 3 daughters, Linda Kelly, Lucy Lowery, and Jeannie Hickman and husband Charlie; grandchildren, Roy Kelly, Lisa Duhon and husband Brent, Daniel Verrett and wife Danielle, Mark Verrett, Ola Verrett, Chris Hickman and wife Misty, Elizabeth Terrebonne and husband Curtis, Jr., and Julie McCarty; sister, Janice Galantay and husband Geno; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren and other relatives.Pallbearers will be Roy Kelly, Chris Hickman, Daniel Verrett, Chris Kerr, Brent Duhon, Bailey Hickman, Jack McCarty, and Mitch McCarty.Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
