Gary L. Vickery

Memorial Visitation for Mr. Gary L. Vickery, 65, of Farmerville, LA, will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Gary Vickey was born October 17, 1956 and passed away on February 8, 2022. He was an artist, car salesman, and a seeker of truth and knowledge. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for taking scenic rides through the backwoods and countryside. In his younger years, he loved hunting and deep-sea fishing with his mom, dad, and younger brother. He was passionate about the sandy beaches and ocean water, especially the Gulf Shores area. Gary was one of the most loyal Alabama fans around, enjoying whatever sport they played, whether it was football, baseball, or basketball. He loved his Crimson Tide! His favorite all time saying was ROLL TIDE!

Mr. Vickery is preceded in death by his father, Derward Vickery.

Survivors include mother, Melba Vickery; brother, Jerry Vickery (Trisha); nephews, Jarrod Vickery (Becky), Matt Vickery (Lindsey), and Thomas Vickery; nieces, Maddie Vickery, Alyssa Vickery, and Mia Vickery; girlfriend, Jeni Martin and son, Logan Prather (Robyn).

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute.
