Gary Arthur Forsse

Memorial Services celebrating the life of Gary A. Forsse, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Community Baptist Church, at 164 Defreese Road, West Monroe with Bro. Danny McIlveene officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until service time Saturday.

Gary Arthur Forsse was born on November 5, 1941, in Lindsborg, Kansas to Earl and Arlene Forsse, and departed this life to be with his Lord on October 13, 2023, at Cornerstone ICU Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer and a long-distance truck driver. He dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they were his world. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Olaf Forsse and Arlene Annabell Forsse.

Gary is survived by his best friend and wife, Joyce Peterson Forsse; his two sons; Gregory Alan Forsse and wife, Kim of Pioneer, LA and Jeffrey Lee Forsse and wife, Leonor of Van Alstyne, TX; seven delightful grandchildren whom he adored: Jessica, Jodie, David, Jeffrey, Daniel, Joseph, and Dustin; fifteen precious great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Ray Forsse of Lake Providence, LA; one Aunt, Ucie Wagnon of Lafayette, LA; and numerous cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cornerstone Hospital and the VA Clinic personnel for the wonderful care they showed Gary and the congregation at Community Baptist Church for all the love, prayers, and meals provided us during his illness.
