Funeral services for Gary D. Telano, 64, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Larry Linson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park CemeteryOn Wednesday, August 10, 2016 Gary D. Telano was called home to be with his Saviour. Gary is a retired Sgt. with the Monroe Police Dept. He served his community for 30+ years. Gary was a long time President of the local Police Union, Secretary of the State Union, as well as representative for the Civil Service Board. He also served in the United States Army for 8 years as a Staff Sgt. and Communication Specialists attached to the 82nd airborne.Gary was born on October 19, 1951 to Luther Earl and Bobbie Jean Telano. He has 2 siblings, Linda Marchefski and Clifton Telano. He was married and madly in love with his beautiful wife, Paula Marie Telano on Aug. 28th 1970.Gary leaves behind 3 children and their spouses; Kimberly and Duane Arledge, Patrick and Alyson Telano, and Natalie and Jimmy Stewart. He also leaves 8 grandchildren.Gary was a huge Saints and LSU fan. He loved any police, military, or western film. He was a devoted husband, a loving Daddy and Pawpaw!
