Gaetano Tony Feltri

Mr. Feltri was born on July 20, 1931, in Syracuse, New York and passed away on January 20, 2021, to join his Lord and Savior.

A retired Senior Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force with 21 years of service, he specialized in electrical generation systems and power management for military installations, bases, and defense systems, including the Minuteman II nuclear missile silos in South Dakota. He completed a tour of Vietnam in the late 1960s and served in Italy and Newfoundland among other global assignments before retiring honorably in 1970. Following his military service, he also retired from the Xerox Corporation in 1987, as a senior technical representative. With 17 years of service excellence to the north Louisiana area, he was known as “Tony the copier guy” by his regular customers.

A loving husband and father, he was preceded in death by Christine, his faithful wife of 58 years, in 2018.

Tony inspired everyone with dedication to his faith, job, and family. He leaves a son, Joseph to carry on the lifelong principles and ideals so highly and personified through his fine example for 89 years.

A memorial service celebrating Tony’s life will be held at 2:00PM Monday, January 25, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Mark Franklin of St. Matthew Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will proceed the service at 1:00PM.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Strickland, Dr. Rodric Cascio, Brad Bourgeois, and Ken Bernard.

Many thanks are extended to the fine doctors and their dedicated office professionals who helped manage Tony’s health through his final years including Drs. Hand, Irby, Barbieri, Barron, Danna, Sharbono and Cooksey.

In lieu of memorials, the family would request any friends, wishing to honor his memory, to perform a simple act of kindness for a total stranger in his name.
