Frederick Boyd Korn

Memorial services for Frederick Boyd Korn, 63, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Mr. Korn died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center after a year long battle with cancer. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1970, attended Louisiana Tech, and was a Project Design Manager for 30 years with James Machine Works. Mr. Korn was a devoted family man, an avid deer hunter and a NASCAR fan.Mr. Korn was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Dorothy Korn.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jill Hinckley Korn; children, Heather Korn, Holly Jones and husband Nathan, and Evan Korn; granddaughters, Ryleigh Jones and Adelyn Jones; brother and sisters, Donald Wayne Korn and wife Patricia, Peggy Jean Korn Moore and husband Frank, and Linda Sue Korn Levy and husband Nathan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Visitation will be from noon to service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to Life Church in Winnsboro or Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe.
