Franklin H. Jenkins

Memorial services celebrating the life of Mr. Franklin H. Jenkins, 74, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 3, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating.

Mr. Jenkins was born September 21, 1942 and passed away March 30, 2017. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved spending time with his family and friends especially enjoying the outdoors together. He worked hard for his family and instilled determination and perseverance in everyone he loved. As a graduate of Louisiana Tech University he was a lifelong supporter of the LA Tech Alumni Association. Mr. Jenkins was a past president of the MWM Chamber of Commerce and was a former City Engineer of West Monroe and Developer of Northwood Estates and Indian Lakes Subdivisions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Loyd C. Jenkins, Sr. and Myrtle Phillips Jenkins; brothers, Billy Wayne Jenkins and Ray Lynn Jenkins.

Survivors include his daughter, Lyndsay Jenkins Mixon and husband Matt and granddaughters, Kate LeighAnn and Klaire Estelle; son, H. Lane Jenkins and granddaughter, Victoria Layne and great grandson, Caidon Terral; son, Vance Randall Jenkins and wife Terri and grandsons, Jonathan William and Randall Scott; brother, Loyd C. Jenkins, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Jenkins White and husband Budgy; special nephew, Dustin Jenkins and wife Amelia and great nephews, Cameron and Caden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Lazenby, Duane Taylor, Sam Henry, III, Jerry Don Walker and Dustin Jenkins.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of CCU and Ortho/Neuro at St. Francis Medical Center, along with Drs. John Bruchhaus, Pranabh Shrestha, Bibhuti Neupane and Tejal Jetha.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or LA Tech Alumni Association.
