Private family services for Franklin David Stites, 62, of Monroe, will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with Mr. Leonard Rhodes officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
Mr. Stites was born October 12, 1956, in Perryville, MO, and passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Mr. Stites retired from the U. S. Army Reserves and worked for the City of Monroe for over 25 years. He enjoyed his friendships with his co-workers. His favorite smart comment was “Bite Me.”
Survivors include his parents, Franklin and Jewel Stites; sister, Kim Stites Allen; brothers, Jeff Stites and wife Rhonda, and John Stites and wife Jennifer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
