Funeral services for Frankie Vivian Pilcher, 85, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd, Monroe, LA. with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. until time of service in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Frankie Vivian Pilcher, 85, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2022, after a long illness.
Frankie was born on August 11, 1936, to Earl and Elma Moore in Omega, LA. After graduating from Oak Grove high school in 1954, she briefly attended Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in Ruston, and Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe.
In 1955, she met “Boots” Pilcher, and they wed on October 6, 1956, going on to have two sons, Lester and Kim.
Frankie worked at JCPenney, Howard Brothers, and Central Bank for many years, retiring from in Central Bank in 1995. She devoted her time to lovingly care for her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed celebrating and making Christmas a special time for her family. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and collecting antiques.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Earl and Elma Moore. She is survived by her husband Charles Lester “Boots” Pilcher of Monroe, LA; sons Charles Lester Pilcher, Jr. and wife Heather, Frank Kim Pilcher and Karla Robertson; grandson Jeff Pilcher; granddaughters Jade Bass and husband Tyler; Ashton Bruce and husband Adam; one brother, Johnny Moore and wife Frankie of Wisner, LA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Puckett, Dean Mailhee, Paul Ledford, Danny Pringle, Adam Bruce, and Tyler Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be, Buddy Cook and Steve Cook.
