Mr. Wynn was born on July 1, 1931 and went to be with the Lord on Wed., April 28 2010, at home on Wynn Island where he was born and raised.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Elmo Wynn, Sr. and Mamie Posey Wynn; and sister Mary Patsy Wynn.
He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Lillian Pearl Wynn, two sons Frankie Wayne Wynn and wife Alita Moore Wynn of Baton Rouge,La.; Mickey David Wynn and wife Margaret Carter Wynn of Monroe: and one daughter Jeanette Wynn Bruce of Start, La., three beautiful granddaughters, Tiffani Rachelle Rundell, Lindsay Allison Wynn and Sara Nicole Parker Fleming, one sister Florance Wynn Letlow and husband E.E. “Jiggs” Letlow of Arcadia, La., and a host of brother and sister-in laws and  nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wynn was a member of Start Baptist Church, Start, La. He retired from The Richland Parish School Board where he was Maintenance Superintendent and he was also a carpenter for over 30 years.
Elmo was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and could fix almost anything.  He was a hard working, strong –willed man rising before the sun, not to waste any daylight. He loved helping others and made sure his friends and family were always “full of fish!”  He shared all that he had with those that he loved or was in need. He gave generously to all in a manner that was both thoughtful and unselfish. He did not expect or want thanks or accolades in return. “That was just Elmo.” All he did was done lovingly, compassionately, and genuinely.
Elmo had many friends that he formed over the 78 years that he lived on Wynn Island.  He was loved and respected by a multitude of people. His wit and keen sense of humor could do nothing but make you love him. He loved his “grand-girls” unreservedly and wanted them all to “learn how to fish.”
Visitation will be from 9:00 am – 11:00 am Sat., May 1 preceding the funeral services at Start Baptist Church, Start, La.
Pallbearers will include Larry Bennett, Walter Bruce, Larry Morris, Jimmy Kennedy, Brian Rawls and Wade Temple. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Arlon Adams, Flex Bennett, Donnie Baxter, Tommy Lauranoff, Pete Melancon, Bro. Fred Robinson, Robert Davis and Charles Johnson.
