Francis Scott Jerkins

Funeral services for Francis Scott Jerkins, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. David McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the mausoleum chapel.

Mrs. Jerkins was born September 15, 1930, in Shreveport, LA, to Cless and Delton Scott, and passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was a stay at home mom who cherished her five children and whose door was always open for all the other neighborhood kids. Mrs. Jerkins was a talented artist and seamstress, and a wonderful cook.

Mrs. Jerkins was preceded in death by her husband, Mabry Jerkins; and eight siblings, Edna, Odell, Veta, Delton, Myrtle, Ledye, Gene, and Melvin

Survivors include her children, Michael D. Jerkins and wife Terry, Patricia Wood and husband Eddie, Rebecca Maynard and husband Jeffrey, Kathryn Ardoin and Joey Neitz, and Mabry Matthew Jerkins; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Brad, Angie, Holly, Mallory, Mary Francis, Jared, Hannah, Sarah, and Chris; twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
